Development Consultant Business Cards

A Business Card, Standard Size. This business card is specially designed for independent development consultants and experts on overseas assignments of medium or long term duration to nonprofit funding agencies. It has two distinct features :
~ It conveys essential information about the consultant and his or her role in a neutral way.
~ It contains additional contact information that will be of relevance in a local situation
A business card is an essential part of the international development consultant or experts project toolkit. For medium or long term assignments a business card designed for local use is invaluable for forging contact with stakeholders, beneficiaries and others, as well as aide memoire for your own use. You may have your own business card but when you are on an overseas assignment that's not permanent you will quickly realize your normal business is not your mission, the phone numbers on it not relevant or expensive to use, and that you'll need a local version for the duration of your stay.
If you are not able to find a local print shop to make one for you then consider designing your own and ordering here, if the time to ship the order after production, normally 24 hours after placing the order, is acceptable for your destination. The design avoids any indication that the consultant is a representative of the funding agency and other employed positions held by the consultant; this aligns to any requirement the funding agency may have for ensuring that recommendations made by the consultant are not necessarily those of the funding agency.
The information on the front and reverse of the card is fully customizable.
The template shown here has the following information on front : Your name, role in project and name of project, your local mobile number (you will make savings if you sign up for a mobile phone number and sim card with a local network provider), and email address.
The information on the reverse of the card in this template includes the name, the address and phone number of the hotel, apartment or accommodation at which you are staying for the duration of the mission. Including the name and address is often helpful as a reminder to yourself and to taxi drivers indicating where you are staying if you get lost, in addition to informing recipients of it, if its knowledge is required.
Additional information such as the address and phone number of your project office, even if its just a room in a Ministry building, and names and mobile numbers of other key project personnel are provided on the template to add to the value of the card in recording information relevant to the program or project.
